Matt Johnson serves as the Director of Advancement at Ankeny Christian Academy, where he seeks to inspire a culture of joyful generosity rooted in the supremacy of Christ. Drawing from over two decades of leadership in both ministry and the marketplace, Matt brings a unique blend of spiritual depth, strategic thinking, and relational warmth. His calling is to help others steward their resources for eternal impact—believing that every act of giving is an act of worship that declares, “Here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come” (Hebrews 13:14).
Matt’s leadership journey has taken him from business management and property investment in Iowa to a season in Bali, Indonesia, where he and his family lived and served through a Business as Missions initiative. These experiences gave him a global vision of God’s kingdom and a heart for mobilizing generosity that fuels gospel ministry. A graduate of Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny (B.S. in Biblical Studies) and Central Baptist Seminary in Minneapolis (M.A. in Theological Studies), Matt’s life and leadership are shaped by a deep commitment to Scripture, grace, and joyful obedience to Christ.
Matt and his wife, Lynn, have been married for more than 30 years and have three grown children who love and serve Christ. Their family story reflects the grace of perseverance, faithfulness, and joy in following Christ wherever He leads. Through his role at ACA, Matt longs to help students, parents, and supporters alike experience the deep gladness that comes from treasuring Christ above all and investing in what lasts forever.
