Hello, my name is Kelsey Williams. I am so excited to be the PE teacher here at ACA. I grew up in a Christian household with a mom that taught us that Jesus is the way, the truth and the light. I grew up going to church on Sunday morning, Sunday evening and Wednesday night. I loved singing Sunday morning hymns next to my grandma, the potluck desserts, and the Wednesday night games. Being part of a church was just part of my life and what I always knew.
As I got older and became more aware of my actions and my way of life, I knew that I wanted a personal relationship with Jesus. During this time, my father began to join our family at church and in the summer before my 7th grade year, we were baptized together by my grandfather.
I continue to thank God for his blessings and mercies that He shows on me. What I wonderful gift that He has given us. Philippians 4:13- “I can do all things through him who gives me strength”. This verse has always meant a lot to me as an athlete growing up and as I have coached hundreds of athletes. To know that God will always give me the strength I need to get through all situations is such a great feeling. I can lean on him to help me through the good and the bad. He is going to be by my side through it all.
After graduating from ACA in 2008, I met my husband that summer on the golf course. We know that God was completely at work when we met as we both had the same Florida Gator golf cover in the middle of an Iowa golf course. We both spent the next few years playing on the golf team at Grand View University. We were married on a VERY HOT summer day in 2012. We have two beautiful little girls, Terin and Sloan. Our family spends a lot of time outside, going to sporting events, swimming, and playing with our dog, Bluey. We cheer LOUD and proud for the Florida Gators and travel all throughout the country watching games and meets. Our family is excited to be part of such a great community here at ACA. GO EAGLES!!
