What an honor to be able to serve the Lord at ACA as the Middle School English teacher after subbing this past year in elementary and secondary. It is a privilege to teach and disciple the next generation!

I attended Iowa State University where I received a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Middle School. After student teaching in Scotland and Johnston, I had the pleasure of teaching 7th grade Language Arts and History for eight years in Johnston. During that time, I also earned a Master’s degree in Education.

God has blessed me to be a wife of my wonderful husband Ryan for 21 years. In our marriage together, we awakened together to the Word of God and our personal relationship with Jesus. We have two amazing Jesus-loving daughters. Josie will be a freshman, and Ellie will be in 7th grade. After Josie was born, I left teaching and had the most treasured time as a stay-at-home mom for 14 years with our girls.

During that time, my heart was truly set on fire for Jesus, and I enjoyed nine years in ministry. I was a staff member for women’s ministry and children’s ministry, developed Bible teaching videos, and was a chaplain in the marketplace. Besides being involved with our incredible church family through volunteering and serving, I absolutely love spending time with my family. I also enjoy gardening, going on walks almost every day, and most importantly time in the Word.

I truly love middle schoolers! They are at such a pivotal transition in their lives, and I am excited to fire them up for Jesus in English this year!
