School Nurse

I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve as the School Nurse at ACA, where my family has been blessed to belong since 2015. My goal is to be a warm, welcoming presence for every student—whether they need health education, a minor injury cared for, or support during a medical concern. I’m here to serve our students, faculty, and families with compassion and care.

I earned my Associate Degree in Nursing from Mercy College of Health Sciences in 2004 and completed my BSN in 2009. My nursing background includes the Operating Room, MedSurg,
NeuroTrauma Medical ICU, and Endoscopy, as well as serving as a camp nurse and substitute teacher. I can clearly see how God has used each experience to prepare me for this role.

My husband and I came to faith later in life, and our journey led us to Ankeny Baptist Church, where we grew in our understanding of what it means to know Jesus personally. We were
baptized together in 2011—the same morning we learned we were expecting our daughter, Brooklyn Grace. Outside of school, I love spending time with my husband, our three children, and our pets.

As a family, we enjoy fishing, camping, and exploring the outdoors. I also love biking and once completed a 360mile summer challenge. I’m excited to serve your family at ACA. My favorite verse is Mark 10:45, which reminds me daily why I’m here: to serve.
