I am excited to join the team at Ankeny Christian Academy and become part of a Christ-centered community that is dedicated to serving students and families. I was born in Okinawa, Japan, and was adopted as an infant into a loving Christian family while my dad was serving in the United States Navy. Because of my dad’s military career, I had the opportunity to live in several different states growing up, which helped shape my appreciation for different people and communities.
I accepted Christ as my Savior at the age of seven while my family was moving to Virginia Beach, Virginia. I am grateful to have been raised in a strong Christian home, and much of my early faith was influenced by Adventures in Odyssey through Focus on the Family. Those experiences helped lay the foundation for my relationship with Christ, which continues to grow through my local church and daily walk with Him.
Before joining ACA, I spent several years working in Human Resources, where I gained experience in recruiting, onboarding, employee support, training coordination, and building positive workplace relationships. I enjoy serving others, helping people feel welcomed and valued, and creating environments where individuals can thrive.
My husband, Sam, and I were married in July 2023. Sam is originally from the Ankeny area, and we enjoy spending time with family and friends, being involved in our small group at New City Church, and caring for our two cats and dog.
