I appreciate the opportunity to positively influence the students at Ankeny Christian Academy both spiritually and academically. The Middle School years are such an important time of growth and maturation, and I am excited to see how God works in their lives.
I was raised in Osawatomie, Kansas, by wonderful Christian parents. We faithfully attended a Bible-believing church, and at the age of 10, I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior. I attended Faith Baptist Bible College and earned a degree in Elementary Education.
After graduation, I worked for an insurance company in Des Moines as a computer programmer for 14 years. After receiving a Master of Divinity from Faith Baptist Theological Seminary, I served as a pastor in Algona and then in Carlisle, Iowa, until the fall of 2023. For the past 3 years, I have taught 7th-grade students at Bergman Academy in Des Moines. During this time, I obtained the K-8 Math and K-12 Computer Science Endorsements through UNI.
My wife and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary in 2026. We have three adult children and eight beautiful grandchildren. We enjoy traveling and have had the opportunity to visit family in Thailand and Scotland.
