I grew up in a Christian home on the campus of a small Bible College in Dunbar, WI, where my parents were on staff. I was saved at the age of 6 and baptized at 11. My family was heavily involved in church and camp ministries when I was young and ensured that my siblings and I also served and understood why we believed what we believed. Getting a Christian education was very important to them, and I was fortunate to attend a Christian School through 7th grade, the last two years of which were at Grandview Park Baptist Middle School here in Des Moines, Iowa.
I attended Bob Jones University and obtained a degree in Business Management that focused on Small Business Entrepreneurship. I really enjoyed my Business Law class and spent the majority of my adult life in the legal field working for a large corporation’s Legal Department and a Personal Injury Law Firm. I have also worked in the insurance industry and briefly for my church, Urbandale Baptist, where we still serve as a family.
I am married to my wonderful husband, Luke, and we have 3 children who attend ACA. We have been blessed to be a part of the ACA family through our kids since 2019. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, listening to/playing music, attending Comic Cons with my family, and watching TV and Football with them as well.
It is a great privilege to be able to work and serve here at Ankeny Christian Academy, and I look forward to seeing how God will work through us and continue to bless our faculty/staff and students in the future.
