I grew up in Ankeny, and attended various churches in town throughout my childhood. When I was 10 years old, I heard the gospel at Vacation Bible School at Saylorville Church, and put my faith in Christ. I attended Ankeny Christian Academy starting in 7th grade and graduated from ACA in 2015. After high school, I attended Emmaus Bible College in Dubuque, Iowa. I majored in Bible Theology and Secondary Education with minors in History and Psychology.
While in college, I met my husband, John, and got married in 2018. I graduated from Emmaus in 2019, and taught history for two years at Tri-State Christian School in Dubuque. After a few years in Dubuque, the Lord led us back to Ankeny where I got a job at Ankeny Christian Academy as the 9-12th grade history teacher. Not only do I love teaching, but I also have a passion for athletics. I have coached club volleyball, junior high volleyball in Dubuque, and coached track for ACA in the spring of 2023. I am grateful that I was brought back to Ankeny to serve at my alma mater!
