My name is Alayna Knoll, and I’m so honored to be a first grade teacher at Ankeny Christian Academy. I started my college journey at DMACC, where I graduated with an Associates of Arts degree. I then transferred to the University of Northern Iowa to finish with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.
I was able to work full-time while being a college student which led me to a position as a teacher’s associate at ACA until I started student teaching. The Eagle community has had a significant impact on my work ethic and spiritual integration as there’s always a purpose behind all that we do: growth to becoming more like the character of Christ.
My faith journey was a seed planted within my heart in kindergarten as my parents felt it important to receive a Christian school education. I was saved during that time as the words of my teacher stuck with me and I was able to surrender my life to the Lord through the guidance and example of wonderful adults in my life. I shared my salvation story publicly and followed in obedience by being baptized in 2015 at First Family Church.
That is why I am ready, after seven years of working with children, for the mission field of being an educator so that God may be glorified in words and deeds. So that I can be a light for my students just as my kindergarten teacher was for me to discover the gift of salvation and the endless love that our Father gives those who follow Him!
Matthew 5:16 - In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
